Last week was one of those weird ones where time seems to fly and drag at the same time. On the one hand it was been hectic and busy at work. On the writing front--it's been fulfilling to have gotten through all 125 years of the history. (Now the work of polishing it starts). But the days still seemed to drag until we could get out of town. It was nice to get away to Farmington (well Aztec really).
The weekend in Farmington was uneventful. They guys (Hugh & Ken) went looking for elk in preparation for the hunt next month. They didn't see any but did get to hike in some beautiful Colorado scenery.
Sue & I had a restful couple of days. We drove over to Durango and wandered around the historic district, met the guys for lunch at the Diamond Belle Saloon, and then drove back with the top down on her convertible.
It would have been nice to linger a bit longer away from the day-to-day 'grind'.
